Dear Friends…
We hope that you are all doing well. These last couple of days we have had the first real rain since May and we enjoy the softness of the weather it has brought.
The Summer holidays have finished this week and the schools have started again, as well as the activities in church. We will be starting with the youth group again this coming Sunday afternoon.
– Please pray for our youth. It is probably the same in the UK; there is a lot of peer pressure amongst young people, and it is definitely uncool to be evangelical here in Spain, let alone be a disciple of Jesus. Pray for our youth and for their hearts. That they will listen to God’s voice and choose to follow Him in spite of their friends’ resistance.
This coming season, we would like to organize and shape the discipleship better within the church so that everybody who wants to, can be part of a small group of 3 to 4 people where bible study and accountability can be brought together so that daily life can be shaped by who we are as followers of Christ.
– Please pray that the hopes and plans we have will for these groups will become reality and that members and visitors will be involved and committed to these discipleship groups and grow in understanding and following Christ.
Our youngest daughter Rose has moved to the Netherlands for a sabbatical year at a Christian school. Please pray for her, she is struggling with her identity and with faith. Pray that she may find peace with God and will be able to trust Him with her life.
And last, we would like to ask your prayers for the church’s plans to buy the building we have been renting for the last 9 years. Next year the contract expires and we would like to buy it. It is a big step in faith for us as small community. Pray for Gods guidance and help!
God has encouraged us greatly with the conversion of a lady who started visiting our church. In three weeks, we hope to baptise her! We praise God for Marien’s life and her conversion. Please pray for her as she prepares for her baptism on Sunday 3rd of October.
